University of Sussex Graduate Scholarships 2023 – APPLY NOW

The University of Sussex is pleased to announce that it will be accepting applications from students from other countries for the Graduate Scholarships in 2023.

In the United Kingdom, the Master’s award programme will be open for applications during the academic year 2023–2024.

These grants are intended to provide financial assistance to deserving students and serve as an incentive for them to enroll in one of the Master’s Degree programmes offered by the University of Sussex.

Over two hundred different Master’s Degrees, Postgraduate Certificates, and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) programmes are available to students at the University of Sussex.

Since it first opened its doors in 1961, it has garnered a national and international reputation for excellence in both research and education.

In addition to this, it provides both full-time and part-time programmes, with some of the courses also including an integrated placement year.

Students who attend the University of Sussex have the potential to make a positive impact on the world since the university sponsors a wide variety of extracurricular activities.

These activities include a variety of sports groups, academic societies, and opportunities to volunteer.

Acceptable Course or Subjects: The award may be used towards the full-time Postgraduate (taught) study of any topic that is made available by the university.

Financial Support for Students

For graduates of the University of Sussex who have earned a First or Upper Second Class Bachelor’s Degree, the university will offer a tuition fee reduction in the amount of £3,000 per student.

Admissible Criteria

The candidates’ applications will be evaluated based on whether or not they satisfy all of the following criteria:

1. Candidates must have either a First-class or Upper-second-class Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Sussex.

2. You need to have accepted an offer of a seat on a qualifying Master’s programme before applying. This can be either a part-time or full-time programme.

3. You must not be enrolled in a Master’s programme at any other university than the University of Sussex at the time of application.

4. You must not be entering the final year of an integrated Master’s programme at Sussex at the time of application.

5. You must not have attended any of the University of Sussex’s affiliated schools or universities, such as BIMM.

6. You must not have attended classes at an overseas campus or an external programme offered by a UK university.

7. You must not be in possession of another scholarship from the University of Sussex.

Instructions on How to Apply

If you are qualified to apply for the scholarship (2023), you will need to indicate your interest in the scholarship through the postgraduate application system at the same time as you accept an offer of a place to study.

Applicants who meet the requirements for this opportunity do not need to fill out any additional paperwork in order to be considered for this opportunity.

Rather, they will be evaluated solely on the basis of the admissions applications they have already submitted.

Admission Requirements

The following are the admission requirements that the students are expected to present:

1. An Undergraduate Honours Degree with a classification of Upper Second-class (2:1) or Lower Second-class (2:2), or an equivalent, is required for the majority of programmes.

2. In order to be eligible for financial assistance from the Federal Government, students from the United States must have either a high school Diploma or an equivalent that is recognized.

3. In order to enroll in a Master’s programme at the University of Sussex, applicants must demonstrate that they satisfy the university’s entry requirements.

Language Requirement

Applicants must fulfill the following language requirements:

1. All instruction at Sussex is provided in the English language, and applicants are required to demonstrate an adequate level of fluency in the language in order to be considered for admission.

2. If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence that you are able to meet the English language criteria established by the university for the Degree programme to which you have applied.

3. You are required to have received a passing score on an English language proficiency test such as the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

4. You are required to present proof from further English qualifications that confirms your current level of the language.

5. You are required to produce evidence that demonstrates that you are exempt from one of their English language requirements.

6. You are required to complete and achieve a passing grade in the pre-sessional English course offered by the Sussex Centre for Language Studies.
