For the academic year 2023-2024, the University of Essex will award Full PhD International Scholarships to candidates who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement.
PhD Students at the University of Essex who are interested in conducting research and studying in one of the university’s departments are welcome to apply for the educational programme.
The scholars will receive support from Proficio to cover the full cost of tuition for the full three years, as well as a stipend payment to help with living expenses and travel and conference funding through Proficio.

Instructions on How to Apply
In order to apply for this funding scheme, applicants must first apply for PhD scholarship financing on their own by downloading and filling out the PhD Application Form.
After that, students are required to send the application to the relevant faculty dean via email with the subject line reading “Inclusion in Research Doctoral Scholarship Application.”

Admission Requirements: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree obtained from an accredited institution in order to be considered for admission.
