Program Overview: The International English Language Testing System, more commonly referred to as IELTS, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for those who are not native speakers of the English language.

When immigrating to a foreign country with English as the dominant language, such as Australia, Canada, the United States of America, or New Zealand, it is frequently required to have this skill set.

Simply put, it determines whether or not you will be able to communicate effectively in a country where English is the primary language.

You will need to have any one of the following if you do not have your IELTS score, in order to be eligible for a scholarship in Canada:

  • TOEFL (Test Of English As A Foreign Language) Result With A Score 80 (On Line) Or 550 (Paper-Based).
  • MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Batter) With A Score Of 80.
  • CAEL CE (Computer Edition): Minimum Score 40.
  • Duolingo: Minimum Score Of 85.
  • PTE (Pearson Test Of English) (Academic) With A Minimum 50 Overall.
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Full Time Study At A School Where Medium Of Instruction Is English.

Alberta University Scholarship

It has been ranked among the top 150 best universities in the world, and Alberta University is currently accepting applications for a free IELTS scholarship to be used during the 2023 academic year.

The university is providing prospective law students with a variety of financial aid opportunities, including scholarships to attend the university and scholarships to use during their studies.

You will be required to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) in place of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
